ShareTrip received an investment of BDT 5 crore from startup Bangladesh

ShareTrip, the country's largest and leading online travel agent (OTA), has received an investment of Tk. 5 crore from Startup Bangladesh on its third anniversary. An agreement was reached in this regard on Sunday (August 7) ​​at the Hotel Sheraton, Dhaka. Through this, ShareTrip is recognized as the first company invested in the tourism sector of the country. In order for this OTA to move forward in all areas of the tourism sector, shareTrip has made a strategic investment with an aim to play an influential role in the tourism sector and further digitize its progress, Startup Bangladesh has invested USD 50 million in ShareTrip. Sharetrip Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Sadia Haque and Startup Bangladesh Managing Director Sami Ahmed exchanged the agreement in the presence of ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak. Kashef Rahman, the other co-founder of ShareTrip, was also present. Before the investment, Startup Bangladesh Managing Director Sami Ahmed expressed hope in his speech that ShareTrip will become the first OTA Company in the country. He said, "Startup Bangladesh embarked on a journey to support the startup ecosystem. Startup Bangladesh helps startups get other funding besides providing funding. Share Trip is running their operations with fully indigenous technology and indigenous manpower. I hope ShareTrip succeeds as an international OTA platform beyond Bangladesh.” He further said “I am excited to announce Startup Bangladesh's investment in ShareTrip.
